Auditory processing
Once we discover that some clients may have learning gaps due to long-term undiagnosed or ineffectively treated conditions such as ADHD or stroke, we provide cognitive therapy using auditory processing protocols, which is a remarkably effective training tool for higher achievement.
Our protocols develop listening and reading skills fundamental to learning and achievement. They are tools to improve a person's ability to receive, understand and retain incoming information. Our program significantly increases a person's ability to listen, speak, communicate and learn. After the initial diagnostic and implementation, this program may be used in a client's home, and then later evaluated in the clinic.
Students who are challenged by dyslexia, language delays, reading problems, phonological issues, strong dialects, communication disorders, learning disabilities, autism, spectrum disorders, ADD/ADHD, developmental delays, and attention deficits are able to increase their ability to learn and experience success.
Over the past decade, adults and children have experienced success using our protocols in the clinic setting and at home, in professional clinics and in schools. As cognitive practitioners we have participated in outstanding improvement such as:
- Learning and memory
- Attention and focus
- Listening and understanding
- Reading comprehension, accuracy, fluency
- Thinking and problem solving
- Speech, language and vocabulary
- Communication, behavior & social skills
- Spelling and writing
- Motivation and self-confidence
- Sensory integration, movement and coordination
